Poll: I received sooo many bath & body products for gifts so far--are my friends trying to tell me something?

I don't think so----It's more like they have no clue what to get you, that's all. Although----and this is just an observation from me, you sure love music---so---I'd know what to get you!Poll: I received sooo many bath %26amp; body products for gifts so far--are my friends trying to tell me something?
Take a shower every once in a while.Poll: I received sooo many bath %26amp; body products for gifts so far--are my friends trying to tell me something?
nope it is just the fall back gift when you get stuck shopping for a girl
no...it's just so convinient..regifting time
probualy not..maybe they jus know wat u like=)
Yeah. They all shop at the same place. Body products seem to be a popular gift among girls. I've received plenty in my life. It's just that girl's love good smelling stuff, so they figure they need to share that.

I don't think it's because you smell.
no. dont sweat it! i get tons of bath and body works stuff from my friends. thats what they give other people too. not just me. i give my friends stuff from there every christmas. dont worry if you are thinking that they think you smell thats probably not true. thats what everyone gets their friends these days! =]
No, I am sure they are not. They are just gifts, and maybe they all thought it would be something you may like.

It can be very hard, to shop for some people, not really nothing if the person will like the gift or not.

That is why I like gift cards, and cash that way they can buy what they want. I don't have to get all stressed out in the stores. Happy Holidays.
haha

nah that happened to me too

it was annoying but im pretty sure i didnt smell

i think im just hard to shop for
ya i agree maybe you're just too hard to shop for. or they are really bad at gift ideas. bath products are always an easy way out. and gift cards...
Yeah, that they would like to shower with you.
There not trying to tell you anything negative and give you a message. Most of the time, for girls, body lotions and spray and stuff like that are easy gift giving. Don't take it personally.
no---they just 鈾?you!!!
Yep. They're saying that prepackaged bath %26amp; body products are on sale at every store, and they thought that soap and lotion would be a slightly more personal present than a gift card.
No...you probably don't have B.O. !!! They're telling you they don't know you well enough to buy you anything else or that they know you so well they'd never buy you anything else....LOL!
I wouldn't think that they are trying to tell you anything. It just that some people are hard to buy for. Also alot of the time women like things from bath and body works. It's just something practical and easy to find. I wouldn't think anything more about it.
I doubt it, since those products can be expensive, honestly Bath and Body Works is the kinda place you shop at when you don't know what else to get a girl. If they were trying to tell you something, they would have bought you generic stuff.
they probably have no idea what you would like, and figure since everyone bathes or showers that would be a good choice.
ask

(or regift)
no, only that they r good friends. they give nice gifts...
Don't be so suspicious.
pshya-you little missy are a hard-to-buy-for person. don't worry, they still worried enough to still buy you a gift!!!
No. It could be they just wanted to give you something, and that was what they could afford.
I don't think so, sometimes people think that girls like to get that kind of stuff as gifts. My boyfriend got me some and I was kind of thinking the same thing but i don't think he did it on purpose.
Not necessary, women love to give those products as gifts. It's feminine and nice to give a woman that as a gift. I love Bath%26amp;Body and Victoria's Secret. Don't feel self-conscious about it.
yep...you're hard to shop for...
yeah that your crap at waiting till xmas till open your presents you spoilsport
i doubt it. bath %26amp; body products are always a safe bet among girls. or you're just a tough person to shop for. either way, who doesn't enjoy a bit of pampering? enjoy them products! :]
Merry christmas!

no, I mean thats what they are saying.
i like that kind of stuff....
that your hard to find something for.

i always go to that when no one will say what they wants.

Does bath and body works test someof there products on animals?

i got the cherry blossom shimmer lotion and i was reading the back and it said this FINISHED product is not tested on animals. what does that mean? that when it wasnt finished it was? it it a law that u arnt suppose to test products on animals? im confused HELP ME!Does bath and body works test someof there products on animals?
It means that the product, after it has been all mixed together, has not been tested on animals, but, that the separate ingredients could have been tested on animals. Products that have not been tested on animals usually have a seal of guarantee showing a rabbit on the bottle. That means that the product and it's ingredients were not tested on animals. There is no law which prohibits companies from testing products on animals. Many people are now looking to buy from companies that do not test on animals..Does bath and body works test someof there products on animals?
i dont kno...most products juss say that they don't test the product on animals...they don't usually say anthing about finished products
dcfjoidfgdfvoidfjoifd
I'd call their corporate office and ask them.
I sure hope it IS!! If they only test it on other plants, how will they ever know if it works on people???
um not sure but that's an good point it could mean that thanks lol your the one that asked the question and i'm the one that's suposed to give you info but you are the one htat bave me the info

Our bath towels smell musty when used. Tried different soaps and bleach products. Any ideas?

You are leaving them in the hamper where mold develops and causes the musty odor. If you continue to put damp towels in the hamper, you should buy only white towels.

White towels can be bleached. Like hotels do, they bleach the towels. Our bath towels smell musty when used. Tried different soaps and bleach products. Any ideas?
If they are left to dry in an environment where the air circulation is minimal this will happen to damp clothes including towels , my advise to you would be to change the towels every day and when you wash them use a good quality detergent like Tide ,rinse twice and dry them properly if they are stored while still a bit damp they will smell musty as well. The whole thing is to wash and dry them properly to avoid this problem. Our bath towels smell musty when used. Tried different soaps and bleach products. Any ideas?
Wash them in hot water and add one cup of white vinegar to the wash. And a half cup white vinegar to the rinse. Dry thoroughly.
It's really time to buy new towels
Wash them with baking soda and Tide.
I would use them for rags and buy new ones!

Did you know that the store Bath and Body Works adds suspected carcinogens to their products?

Don't respond without looking at the link, please...

http://www.safecosmetics.org/action/bbwo鈥?/a>Did you know that the store Bath and Body Works adds suspected carcinogens to their products?
Yeah. I don't know why it's so difficult to buy natural products instead of this overmarketed, overrated Bath %26amp; Body Works stuff. There are all kinds of good-smelling things that aren't full of chemicals.Did you know that the store Bath and Body Works adds suspected carcinogens to their products?
1) Your link didn't work

2) Everything is a carcinogen, including the oxygen you are breathing right now.

So, the important point isn't whether or not something is carcinogenic; the question is the degree to which it is carcinogenic.
I'm skeptical. Why would they specifically add suspected carcinogens unless this was some type of industry standard. Why are they being singled out?

As far as dioxin goes, I think that is a common ingredient in all plastics, and its leeching from containers into content is debated among scientists.
Your link returns Page not found.

The strongest links are that some substance ';is often'; contaminated with dioxin. How often is often? Has it been shown with chemical testing to have occurred in any of these products?

P.S. Oxygen causes cancer.. so eat healthy, get some exercise or die young. The choice is yours

Ladies: Has anyone tried the new Bath & Body Works hair care products?

Bath %26amp; Body Works has a new line of shampoo and conditioner - moisturizing and volumizing products in their most popular scents. I remember back in the day when Bath %26amp; Body wasn't what it is now and they only had a few scents, in which they made shampoo and conditioner. I tried it, but it was terrible for my hair as it seemed more focused on the scent than the benefits to your hair. Just wondering if anyone had tried it and what your experiences were. Thanks!Ladies: Has anyone tried the new Bath %26amp; Body Works hair care products?
The only reason i tried it was because of my employee discount. =)

just like the Pleasures line that the shampoo scents are from, they are mainly for the fragrance. any lotions like the mango mandarin, coconut lime, warm vanilla sugar, etc., are fragrant but do almost nothing for your skin. the hair products are nearly the same way. however, i did try the Bio haircare line found in larger B%26amp;BW stores (and online) and it did have the effects on my hair it promised.Ladies: Has anyone tried the new Bath %26amp; Body Works hair care products?
I bought the warm brown sugar...and the scent was not strong at all...my hair isnt damaged but it did leave my hair softer...I didnt have to hot air my hair.

for a better one try the body shop or bodyshop.com

the stuff at bath and body works made the color on my hair fade. i like the honey kind at the body shop
well my hair was a little dryed out but it smelled good and i could fix it
The new ones are a bit better, but over priced. I have a friend that works there and she gets discounts for me all the time. Otherwise, I wouldn't use the hair products.
Yes they are a bit better and definatley overpriced...I would rather go to the salon and pay those prices for something I know is going to work..

Yes. At the Body Shop, and if you can find a shop that sells German and, or Finnish products (The Finns are superb and in many ways superior with their pharmaceuticals and cosmetics) seek out the horse chestnut bath oils.

Can very dark undereye circles be caused by an allergy. I used a bath product that I might be allergic to.?

About an hour after the bath with a juniper herbal liquid in it, my undereye circles got very dark. Anyone have experience like this?

It was a juniper herbal bath. Can very dark undereye circles be caused by an allergy. I used a bath product that I might be allergic to.?
Yes, you may have allergy to it. Discontinue use and see if the problem clears up.Can very dark undereye circles be caused by an allergy. I used a bath product that I might be allergic to.?
There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

    http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11鈥?/a>

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com .. tips on how to reduce dark circles, the causes of dark circles, home remedies, eye creams reviews, make up tips, and natural healer.
I do know that I have hayfever and have dark undereye circles. It doesn't sounds like you're allergic to it, otherwise your whole body would break out.

But it is possible that the sscent was too strong for your nose to handle, and that's when your circles darken.

Does bath and body works still sell the American girl products?

No. Due to a ';mutual agreement'; between Bath and Body Works and American Girl, BBW no longer sells AG products.

Your local store may still have some during the next semi-annual sale (although it went 90% off at the end of last sale, so this is unlikely), or you may find some at an outlet store. Otherwise, you could probably find some on eBay.

    Sorry. :[

Sandalwood vanilla and coconut lime verbena smell great. You should try them. Sandalwood vanilla isn't something you can wear from Bath and Body Works--it's a candle scent but it's great. Coconut Lime Verbena is from the signature collection and they are currently promoting it like crazy at least here in the states.

If you are looking for rare and discontinued scents like Frozen Daiquiri, Cinnamon Bun Heaven, Vanilla Bean Noel and Breathe Romance then you should check out this page as it specializes in offering scents and products that Bath and Body Works has discontinued. You won't find this scents in Canada.

I recently discovered this site and I love it! I've decided to start making soaps, scrubs and bombs. I went through the recipes and found all of the ingredients that i don't have. I'm not sure where to buy these, so could anyone help me? I live in ruralish Canada and I don't want to buy online. Places like Walmart, health food stores, dollar stores ect. would be good. Here's the items:

    -shealoe butter

    -jojoba wax beads

    -beeswax

    -epsom salts

    -fine sea salts

    -melt n pour soap

    -colourings (and what type?)

    -essential oils

Thanks in advance for your help!Where can i find these? (making homemade bath products)?
If you have a large hobby store somewhere it would be great. Hobby Lobby and Michael's have all the stuff. You are going to have to piece it together. For instance, you aren't going to find jojoba wax beads at Walmart. But you can get some jojoba oil or body soap and then buy some paraffin wax. It's in the lotion section of drugstores and is known for softening skin. Melt some paraffin wax and pour in a bit of the jojoba soap and then let it set, and crumble or cut it up yourself. Shea butter is a thick cream for softening skin. You can find it at wall-mart or a drugstore. Essential oils have to be ordered online or you can forget it...or you can make them. I will give you a list of cheap books here in a minute. The coloring you use for soap is candle coloring. If you don't have a place where you can buy candle wax to make candles with, i don't think you will have access to candle coloring. I like to use natural colors derived from fruit. They are non chemical and smell good. Boil some water with some pomegranate seeds in it, or orange peel or lemon peel. Combining those in different proportions will give you nice shades. Simmer some spinach For green. Cook these down until the color is concentrated. I've never tried food color in soap. The salts you can buy at the drugstore. If you look in the crafts section at wallmart the melt- and- pour soap is sold in small quantities. But using that stuff is the easy way out. And, the expensive way out. You can get dove, or some other kind of cheap soap and let it dissove in warm to hot water. Add some glycrine. You can get that in the first aid section of a store. Add a tespoon of glycerine per bar of soap

Now, you are going to peice this together and it may suck. here are some books. i've made products from these books and sold them commerically in ski resorts, gift shoppes and even to nurses in hospitals who won't use anything else on their hands except my hand cream. And you know what's in it?....... CRiSCO!

The books are a series called Stoney's Herbal Body Series. They are under 10 bucks apiece and they teach you how to really do these things instead of spending money on the components.

One book is on Perfumes. Then one whole book is on Essential Oils. One is on baby care. One is Herbal Home Remed. One is Herbal Home Spa ( i love that one) and one is The Natural Soap Book The website is www.storey.com The publisher is

    Storey Books

Pownal, Vermont Where can i find these? (making homemade bath products)?
health food stores like fruitful yield and whole foods have things like fine sea salts and most likely essential oils. virtually any any drug store has epsom salts, since its used as a bath salt or laxative, but if you want nice stuff, the aforementioned places would be good.

you can make colors out fruits and veggies.

to make juice or plant dyes you need to take about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of a natural item, put it in a pot with about four cups of water, simmer on low for 1-2 hours, strain, and cool. then add more and more to your product until you acheive the desired effect

for blue you can use red cabbage, red onion skins or blueberries

for yellow you can use turmeric or a yellow onion skin

    for purple use purple grapes

for brown use coffee or tea

and for red use cranberries or beets :)

    hope this helps!

Ladies, how much do you spend weekly on bath and body products?

I bathe daily and put lotion on daily except for the few times I for get to moisturize. A full bottle of lotion (I get the big kind) can last 2 months for me. So can a full bottle of shower jell. Shaving cream is the only thing that never lasts. But I have 3 or so products for the bath at one time and alternate, so maybe that's why stuff lasts me. So monthly, maybe 30 dollars. I've stopped using shaving cream. And I just use men's razors. They're cheaper.Ladies, how much do you spend weekly on bath and body products?

    OOOh that's tough I can't keep track.
Weekly???...I take a shower everyday and I don't have to buy new stuff weekly! About every 2 weeks I spend about 20.00-25.00

a hour - 2 hours sometimes 3 if its 3 its 1 hour %26amp; 30 mins on the bath %26amp; the other on skin products it depends!
You shouldn't be spending too much on it. Focus more on nutrition, excersize, prayer, meditaton and good nights rest.

Nutrition: Become a vegetarian, supplementing with a good quality B complex (most specifically B-12, and take adequate amounts of C every day - this is quite cheap to do) Minimize cholesterol and saturated fat. Get ahold of Organic Olive Oil and seasonings to flavor your food, but don't heat.. Most importantly, take 2-3 tablespoons of flax oil every day. This will support your thyroid, keep healthy joints and skin and balance your whole system. If weight is a concern for you, don't worry, you might even lose weight. De-emphasize those starches and sugar. Replace with squash and stevia to sweeten things.

UPDATE: It's just a bathtub folks - not a hot-tub! Is it a public tub or just for your residence? If the latter, why would you need hospital grade stuff?? Seems a bit like over kill to go to a janitorial supply place for your personal bathtub.

How about a spray bottle with a dilute solution of water and bleach? Great for grout too! For me, bleach is a wonder product when it comes to sanitizing and leaving a smell of clean. DO NOT mix it with other cleaning products, especially those for the bathrooms, as it sometimes creates HCl acid fumes.Searching for products to clean and sanitize a jacuzzi bath tub?
Smarty- you were absolutely right! I did mis-read the question and thought the asker was referring to a hot tub. Good for you for thoroughly reading the question. Your ten points were well deserved!!!

We use the peroxide based sanitizers - BaquaSpa or SpaGuard. Every three months we drain and clean the spa with a bleach, then rinse with a restaurant grade sanitizer. Fully rinse again, and refill. Re-set the sanitizer, pH, and mineral levels, and we're ready to tub.

In between cleanings, I like to add a few drops of Tea Tree oil to the tub. We like the smell, and it is a good anti-bacterial, fungal and viral agent.

'B.T.F. Iodophor Sanitizer' is the brand of restaurant grade sanitizer I mentioned. It is an iodine based sanitizer, so DO NOT leave it on long, or it will stain the tub.
Forget the chemicals. Get a hand held steam cleaner and take your time using it. You can burn youself with live steam. It wil cost between 40 and a hundred dollars depending on which one you get. But it will clean almost anything if used properly. Disinfection is just a small part of it's work.
Foget the bleach. There are better products available throught your local janitorial supplier. They will have hospital grade disinfectants that will kill everything (things bleach can't touch). Call to see which brands they have and take their advice, they are the experts. One brand that is really great is Hillyard and one of their best products is called QT. I know these things because I work for a janitorial supplier.

Is there site where I can create or pick my own bath/beauty products and sell them for a certain commission?

You can become an Amazon Associate and sell their products. Amazon has an outstanding Associate program and they provide with you all of the pictures, HTML code, even complete ready-made website templates. They pay a commission, or you can select to get Amazon gift certificates if you want.

    http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/a鈥?/a>

I'm not sure if you meant to sell online or at a retail store or what. The Amazon program is meant to sell things online. You don't need your own website, but I highly recommend it.

Today you can buy your own domain name for less then $10.00 a year and your web hosting for under $5.00 a month.

Ladies, do you have to hide your shampoo, lotions, and other bath products from your little brother?

My stepbrother moved in about a month ago. He has ZERO respect for my expensive beauty products. I know this sound petty, but when I pay $25 for a small bottle of exfoliator, I plan for it to last a year and NOT three weeks. This is ridiculous! We have had several discussions about this, and he has given me some money to replace the articles he has used. But it is still an issue. I don't care about the money at this point, I just want him to use his own damn shampoo (mine I bought in Europe and you cannot find it here). The only option I can think of is to lock all of my products away in my room... which sucks because it makes me feel I'm living in a dorm. Ladies, do you have to hide your shampoo, lotions, and other bath products from your little brother?
just tell himLadies, do you have to hide your shampoo, lotions, and other bath products from your little brother?
why not save all your empty containers and fill them with something cheap and nasty and hide all the good stuff in your room. And dont forget to charge him exhorbitant prices for what he has stolen from you.

  • Would anyone here ever buy soap or other bath products on ebay?

I thinking about setting up an ebay business and want to do something that's fairly low risk. I found sites on the internet that sell handmade soaps and other bath products for a fairly cheap price. If I wrapped them up in tissue paper and gift boxes would do you think people would buy them for about 拢4 or am I just being stupid? I was also thinking about doing bath bombs, bath melt, shower gels etc.

If you don't think this would work can you suggest me somehting that is fairly low risk to do and will earn me a bit of money?Would anyone here ever buy soap or other bath products on ebay?
I think this is a fairly good idea. As long as you package the items nicely so they look attractive and appealing then I think they would sellWould anyone here ever buy soap or other bath products on ebay?
Why not? ebay just cut out the';Middleman'; i use them all the time.

    Posting bath products to Italy?

I was in a internet swap and my partner is in Italy. The swap was to send natural bath/body products so I sent a few things from Lush. Hand cream, a crumble bubble bar, lipbalm and buttercream (like soap). Her parcel arrived today but had been opened and only the buttercream was still in it :(

Does anyone know import/customs regulations on these products posting to Italy? Please. Or where I can find out?

I don't want to have disappointed my partner or recieve a bad rating when I posted really good stuff.Posting bath products to Italy?
Lush products are available in Italy....

It's obvious that somewhere along the way a postal person took something from the box. Sending things by courier (UPS, DHL for example are probably the best way not to get ripped off because the package can be insured and you can even track it as it ';travels'; to destination.

Below is review of custom regulations you may find interesting.Posting bath products to Italy?
Sounds more as if it was stolen! Is it possible to determine? Was there any message inside the package from the Post service?

Do YOU have a record of what was in the package when you sent it? Did you have to make any declaration at your post office? THAT would help determine if there is any way to be recompensated for a theft.

Isn't the whole import thing done with because of the EU? Isn't it just okay to send things? I think you were robbed.
where are you sending items from?

In the EU there are no restrictions..

La poste italiane is a wonderful beast... I still have 100 euro floating around europe somewhere due to the incompetance of la posta.

My mother also sent a package from the UK to us in Italy, she payed over 拢30 to send the pack and all it did was a trip around europe and ended back on her doorstep.

We now send nothing but letters and cards thro' the post..

The joys of italian public services... they are rubbish...

I have dry skin, bath & body works products don't moisturize me well?

Am I the only person who thinks bath %26amp; body works lotions don't work or at least not well? It's like an hour after I apply it to my hands and legs they're dry and stiff again? Does anyone know of any products or brands that work better...

Has anyone else had this problem with their products seeming cheap or is it just me?I have dry skin, bath %26amp; body works products don't moisturize me well?
If the body lotions are not moisturizing enough for you, maybe a body cream or a body butter is more suited for you. Bath and Body Works sells body creams and butters in all the fragrances. Both are more moisturizing than the body lotions.

But to be honest, what you're really purchasing at BBW are the fragrances. If you can live without your sweet pea or cucumber melon, I suggest you buy any body cream or butter at your local drugstore.I have dry skin, bath %26amp; body works products don't moisturize me well?
hey there.....i was brozzz-ing the internet looking at websites that dont really ';like'; BBW....and i came across this.....OK i work at BBW (not for long, 2weeks is here soon)....and the reason why BBW products do not provide you moisture is b/c they are filled with petroleum, mineral oil, lanolin....in the body cream the second ingredient is mineral oil....mineral oil is DEYHYDRATING.....i know b/c i went to school to be an estatition....so, take your lotions, creams and stuff and read the first 6 ingredients....and look each one up and read about it....trust me, you will be A-maze-ED knowing that BBW considers it body cream ';moisturizing';, but the ingredients prove otherwise. Quick note, the tahiti sweet lotion...the one that ';smells'; like a vacation...well the FIRST ingredient is Isopropyl myristate....the FIRST INGREDEANT IN WD40!!!!!! (((Isopropyl myristate is used in cosmetic and topical medicinal preparations where good absorption through the skin is desired. It is also used as a pesticide-free treatment against head lice which works by dissolving the wax that covers the exoskeleton of head lice, killing them by dehydration.)))%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;~~~~~ see.

Here are my body cream ingredients.....what are yours???

Purified water, hybrid sunflower oil, %26lt;%26lt;%26lt;Epicuren%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; emollient enzyme concentrate, essential oils, glycerin, stearic acid, shea butter, jojoba oil, wheat germ oil, macadamia nut oil, kukui nut oil, avocado oil, rosemary extract, bearberry extract and grapefruit seed extract.
i have eczema so my skin is always dry. what i use that is not prescribed by a dr. is goldbond and you dont need much to do the job!! other than that i try eucerin and jergens but what ive known to help me the most is eucerin or goldbond i think it works better than any other lotion ..hope that i could help
i get really dry skin too i use E45 for really dry skin and its really cheap. Works well. you dont need to use much either so it lasts ages
Bath %26amp; Body Works lotion just smells nice it does not help my dry skin at all. I use Gold Bond or Aveeno. My doctor recommended both of these.

  • Does anyone know where you can buy Bath and Bloom products in the U.S.?

I just bought this conditioner for dry %26amp; extra dry hair at a discout store and it is the best stuff I have ever used. Unfortunatly it is made in Thailand and I can't figure out how to purchase it here. The product name is Bath and Bloom and it is made by the Earth Factory Company. If anyone has heard of it or knows where to buy it I would be heaps grateful.Does anyone know where you can buy Bath and Bloom products in the U.S.?
The Earth Factory Company is indeed based in Bangkok, Thailand, and it looks like you are able to order in bulk from their website. They're also looking for agents and distributors too - if you're interested. It doesn't look as though they generally sell outside Thailand at the moment, other than at occasional trade events, so I guess you were lucky to find some at a discount store.

I don't mind having a look locally for you here in Bangkok and see what kind of prices are being charged. I'd also be happy to send anything you want at cost - if that helps?

Is Johnson's bedtime bath products effective?

Just wondering. My little one is 4 months old and I've been trying to get the whole bedtime routine down pat. We bath, then dim lights and breastfeed till he falls asleep. I've been using Mustela but switched to the Johnson's Lavender bedtime body wash, message gel and lotion to see if it's more effective at putting him to sleep. Has anyone seen any improvement in sleep when they used it?

Also, I noticed it's MUCH more foamy than the Mustela. Does it contain soap? because the Mustela is soap-free to be gentler on the skin. Just wondering. Is Johnson's bedtime bath products effective?
A recent study showed a lot of those products have cancer causing chemicals. Johnsons says it's below the legal limit, but why take the chance.

You could try reading to him until he falls asleep, or singing and rocking. Is Johnson's bedtime bath products effective?
I never used the massage gel but I do use the Lavendar bedtime bath wash with my little one. I used the liquid bath wash when he was an infant and it really did help him relax with a warm bath and the lavendar in it. Now that he's a toddler I switched to the Lavendar bedtime bath bars of soap that are more for his age.

For lotion when he was an infant (and in the summer because he gets dry skin from swimming and doing things outside) I use Huggies Oatmeal Honey lotion with Camomile when needed after a bath on his skin. It has a pleasant smell and it doesn't irritate his skin. The only other thing I've ever used was plain old Aloe Vera gel (not the medicated just the clear plain kind in a squeeze bottle or pump).
I have Johnon's lavender baby wash and Wal-Mart's brand of regular babywash. I noticed the Johnon's soap is sudsier too. I haven't really noticed a difference in the bedtime routine. We have done the same thing every night starting at 830pm (with a few exceptions) which is bath, play, bottle and bed and it seems to be the same reguardless which soap I use. The Johnon's smells so good though so I like to use it more lol.
I prefer Mustela and would buy it if it was available this side of the world.

I used the Johnson's Lavender Bath because I liked the smell but I don't think it works that well. Maybe it did unstress ME a bit while I was breathing over the baby bath water but the baby still didn't sleep that good...
    I didn't find much improvement.

I think it's all a marketing gimmick. Lavender is supposed to relax you, so I'm assuming that people think it will relax their baby.

I dont use it for the bedtime effect,

Although it does make my daughter smell lovely :)
i used it with my son and myself and it helped us both sleep better. As for gentler on the skin, my son has really sensitve skin and it didnt both his skin and i have the same thing and it didnt bother mine either. Lavender is very soothing.
I use it, and don't think there is any difference. I bathe my daughter every other night, and she goes to bed the same the nights I do bathe her, as the nights I don't.
nop it doesn't work at all i tried it for ever and it never worked for me!
my daughter always falls asleep after bathtime.....even if i dont use bedtime bath so i couldnt really tell you lol

What baby bath products do you like to use?

This may be heresy, but I don't really care for the smell of Johnson's baby shampoo, and never really have. What are your favorite bath products to use, and what would you avoid? I'm pregnant, but i'd love to use L'Oreal Kids gentle tear free shampoos on my baby (if he/she has any hair lol). They have wonderful, fruity, but not too strong smells: fruit punch, watermelon, sunny orange, melon, etc.

For instance: what about body washes or soaps- what's your favourite? Do you like the all-in-one body %26amp; hair washes? Are bath mitts a good idea? How about lotions? What baby bath products do you like to use?
Johnson's Vanilla Oatmeal babywash and lotion makes my son smell sooooo sweet. I sometimes take it to work and use it just to think of him. Haha. What baby bath products do you like to use?
LOVE burts bees. They are a little more expensive, but GREAT quality and all edible ingredients so no worries about weird chemicals or getting in babys mouth. The all in one baby shampoo/wash is great, and the apricot oil is so great for either in the bath or rubbing on after. Its like 9 bucks but lasts for months. And the buttermilk bath stuff too is great. They have a baby sampler pack thats a good way to try out the line. I got it and had to buy those 3 are my favorite. And I feel good not putting chemicals on the tender skin! try them you'll love it!
I really dont like Johnson's either, but I am absolutely in LOVE with huggies shea butter and oatmeal hair/body wash, it smells SO amazing!!

I have a bath mitt, but i dont use it, i find the teeny soft baby cloths get in the chub creases much better :)

As far as lotion I use Aveeno Baby, it has no smell, and its a bit more expensive but it works really well.
I use baby wash clothes. Some one for my shower bought me gerber grins and giggles and oh my god they are soo great, they smell good! There is a sweet pea one and it smells like sweet pea from bath and body works. I do know they don't sell the gerber grins and giggles around where I live cause I checked the gerber site. But if you can get it, get them.
I use Huggies. I prefer the one with Shea Butter but it smells a lot like Johnsons so obviously you don't want that!

Gerber Grins %26amp; Giggles have some nice scents too!

I'm not sure if I would use L'Oreal kids products. The ingredients may be stronger than those of a baby shampoo/wash. But you are right, they smell great!

You could try Huggies Clean Team. I bought wipes and they had a ';Blue-Raspberry'; scent to them. I imagine the wash is a fruity scent too!

    Congratulations %26amp; Good Luck!
Since my daughter has been born i got a few bottles of the same kind that you dont like..i dont care for it my self either. It doesnt really have that baby smell to it..more of jus a ';soapy'; alcohol smell..

so i have ALWAYS used baby Magic Lavender OR sometiems i DO use the johnsons cucumber and mellon. It smells great! my daughter is 21 months old and i use it for her whole body. i wash her hair in it too.

    Smells great also.
I personally love the all in one. It is much easier to use while you are holding on to the baby. I use Aveeno's version of this and the same with their lotion. I just like the smell better and think that my son has less dry skin than when I used Johnsons. I have never used a bath mitt myself, so I can't help you there.
Personally, i like the bedtime bath washcloths for the body. Gerber makes a grins and giggles hair and body wash that comes in a sweet pea, among other scents, but i love it. Lotion, well once again, i like the bedtime lotion. It has a lavender and chamomile smell that helps relax baby and you!
I usually use the bedtime bath(lavender scent) for my daughter but 3 days ago i started using the cucumber and melon wash and lotion . they are both from Johnson baby collection .the smells is just so good i starting using on myself . hubby think it is funny i smell like a baby .
the smell of Johnson's makes my stomach sick...it also gives me a headache.

We use Method baby wash and baby lotion and diaper cream. You get them all at target and the wash and lotion both smell like warm vanilla sugar and it smells so light and fresh. I just love it. Plus it is organic and made with rice milk and marshmallow.
I fell in love with something called sweet pea shampoo and body wash for my daughter. It smelled so nice and the scent lingered in her hair until she got something gross in it to take it away. Kept it nice and shiny too!
We use Aveeno b/c my boys have sensitive skin %26amp; eczema. However, there is a store brand that I love the smell of (it's available in Texas @ HEB) and I love the smell of Playtex baby products.
I love love love Dove Baby Wash for our baby girl...but she has TONS of hair ... so we use regular shampoo and conditioner on her (we are just very careful not to get it in her eyes) .... and our favorite lotion is either Johnson %26amp; Johnson or Baby's Own!!!

    I LOVE Grins n Giggles!

    http://www.viewpoints.com/Gerber-Giggles鈥?/a>

The only other wash I use is Johnsons Bed time Bath which actually DOES calm her and help her sleep better

    http://www.johnsonsbaby.com/product.do?i鈥?/a>
I like huggies babywash, but as for shampoo it's Johnson's, it smells good.
You HAVE to try the Johnson's Bedtime Bath - it really works!!! It has a faint lavender scent that's not too overpowering, and they really do seem to sleep better!
I love the Gerber Grins and Giggles Oatmeal scent or Johnson's Bedtime line. The Gerber line is hair %26amp; body wash and lotion and they smell so yummy, especially when you use them together. I also love the lavender scent of the Bedtime line and in fact, I used to use the bedtime lotion on myself long before my son came along. I don't mind the all-in-ones, less bottles to get knocked off the side of the tub! I just use one of those little terry washcloths, I find the mitts rather large and cumbersome on my son's little body.
I get my baby wash and baby shampoo from a catalog health and wellness company. This way I get products that don't have any preservatives, etc. For instance Johnson %26amp; Johnson and most others have formaldehyde(quaternium-15) in them as a preservative. I was very shocked to learn this. I even get a great lotion that prevents baby rash, it even got rid of my son's excema!!!

The cost is very comparable to store-bought brands, but it is healthier and safer for your baby and your home.

I can't list the name of the company, but you can get more info at the below web address.

    Sweet-Smelling Bath Products?

You know those sweet-smelling bath products (bath salts, soaps, lotions, etc.) that are mostly quite expensive? Well, do they really make a difference? Is there a difference between just washing yourself with normal soap and washing yourself with a tropical aroma soap or something? Because even if you use that kind of soap, the smell will barely stay on you when you get out of the shower. And even if you use a normal soap, like a Dial soap, your skin is nice and moisturized. Is there a difference? Or are they just a rip-off? Are they just something to attract people who want to be more beautiful or something?Sweet-Smelling Bath Products?
well, some ';sweet smelling bath soaps'; are just rip-offs but some really works and stays for at least 3hrs...

i like ';sweet smelling soaps'; when bathing because it relaxes me during the bath... i usually spend hours in the bath and i enjoy the scent of my ';sweet smelling bath soap'; so... i guess its worth the expense i make.. =]

your skin naturally becomes dry as soon as you get out of the bath that's why lotions are made.. try the lotion sold at BATH AND BODY WORKS.. it's non-greasy and it feels very light on your skin.. =]Sweet-Smelling Bath Products?
Get Glade products and rub them all over urself...
I'd say they do make a difference because better ingredients go into those luxe products. And regarding your comment about how the smell doesn't stay on you, sometimes they're not meant to, it's just for indulging in the shower or bath. But it you want a certain scent from a bath%26amp;body product to stay on you, layer with the complimenting products i.e. soap/wash, lotion/cream, and body mist.
    GO COWBOYS!!

ROMO FOR THE HALL OF FAME!!!!!

Are Bed and Bath Products safe?

Particularly lotion. I LOVE their lotions. They smell and seem to provide proper nourishment for my skin. But when I told someone about it, they snidely informed me that hey used lotions that had natural ingredients that they thought were probably far better for the skin.

These words really got me worried. Does Bed and Bath lotions pose any potential danger against the skin? If I continued to use them would I be inflicting harm upon myself, and possibly sow the seeds for future skin problems/ailments?Are Bed and Bath Products safe?
Safe is a relative term. Everything you're ever going to come into contact in your life has the potential to hurt you. Even oxygen is a poison, it plays a huge roll in the breakdown of cells and aging.

And natural is not always safer. Plenty of potential poisons are natural, I point you to my previous answer of oxygen. Vitamin C in excess can cause diarrhea and dehydration. Excess of iron can significantly damage the liver.

Bottom line, if these products weren't at least reasonably safe, with all of the watch dog groups today, they wouldn't be on the market or they would come with a disclaimer.

Your friend is what I like to refer to as a ';natural'; or ';organic'; snob. Next time this friend gives you trouble, kindly tell him/her that even if their skin care product is natural, the chemicals that will leech out of the plastic packaging make it no more natural than the house s/he lives in or the computer s/he types on.Are Bed and Bath Products safe?
Its safe but the less the lotion smells the healthier it is for you. But I couldnt do that haha I like lotion that smells good.
Ignore them, they're just being a product snob. While I prefer to use as all natural as I can, bath and body works products are completely safe, so you have nothing to worry about.

Does anyone know import/customs regulations on these products posting to Italy? Please. Or where I can find out?

I don't want to have disappointed my partner or receive a bad rating when I posted really good stuff.Posting bath products to italy?
That is the problem with Italy, you risk the things never getting there or getting stolen along the way...might be better to send with a courier like UPS.

    Do bath products expire?

I got a bath products gift set about a year ago that I haven't used yet and I bought a different one at about that time with the intention of giving it as a gift (but ended up giving something else instead). I still have both sets unopened and in my basement. I couldn't find an expiry date anywhere on the products so I'm wondering whether that means they are good to use for any amount of time or whether there is a general expiry period for products like these. It was mostly bath beads and soap and moisturizers, if that helps.Do bath products expire?
yes they do, but after they are opened so you are good to go!Do bath products expire?
Yeppers they do expire. If they don't have a date, you can almost tell by how the product looks. If the shower gel in a bottle is all hard, that means you shouldn't use it, obviously.

If there's no date, sometimes it's too late...that ryhmes!!!! yay!

    ~Edward Cullen 鈾?~
probably not since they are unopened.
    I dont think so ?

Have you seen the report on cancer causing chemicals in childrens bath products...see details?

i received an email from my sister in law yesterday about this...i wanted to check to see if it was a stupid hoax, and it isnt..this just came out a couple of days ago and there are tons of articles on it..here is just one of the links..please read if you have kids

http://healthnewsdigest.com/news/Childre鈥?/a>Have you seen the report on cancer causing chemicals in childrens bath products...see details?
I checked it out on snopes.com. It seems real. Here is another link to back your story. Thanks for the heads up!Have you seen the report on cancer causing chemicals in childrens bath products...see details?
I did hear this on the news briefly and they mentioned J+J Head to Toe Baby Wash, so we chucked ours. I appreciate you putting the link there so I could read more about it! Thanks very much!
everything these days causes some sort of cancer eventually.
I dont think thats any thing to be worried about,

some bathing product manufacturers do this sometimes to reduce their oponents share of market when they are going to introduce a new product.

nearly 90% of what all say about cancer are the same bullshit. even about cigaretes. they say that the best way to advertise cigarete among youth is to say its dangerous!

    lol

dont worry, and God bless your child.
This positively REEKS of Urban Legend. It sounds just like the one about deadly chemicals in swiffer wetjet and don't forget that deoderant causes breast cancer! Try www.snopes.com, and try not to worry; I would bet my right ear that it's bull.
Yes I have heard about it. It is horrible. Too many things contribute to cancer. I use glass pots and pans because of the issue on the non stick on pans. There is nothing we can do until they tell us it is a problem. More stuff than we are told has cancer causing stuff in it. I believe they sometimes wait too long and it is a form of population control.

  • Homemade bath products and storage/life span of product?

For christmas this year, I'm making gift baskets with homemade bath products. The thing that i am concerned about is how long will these products last for? Some of them contain powdered milk and are all dried ingredients, while others have dried milk, essential oils and water added to them.

I planned on storing them in glass bottles and jars, will this keep the products fresh? My mom is one of the people who will be receiving a basket, and it usually takes her up to a year to use a jar of bath salts. I just don't want to give her something that will go bad quickly.

Thanks :)Homemade bath products and storage/life span of product?
Anything you add water to will have a short life span. With the ingredients you're talking about, they'd be good for maybe a month if you refrigerate them, but maybe not even that long.

The dried ingredients will last a long time.. I don't know exactly what you're using, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would go bad within a year, as long as they're kept away from direct light and heat in the jars you're using.

The essenial oils are fine, but my suggestion is to make everything dry (other than the e.o.'s) and leave it dry. For instance, if you were making a facial scrub, insead of adding water to it, leave it dry and give instructions to mix a little with water (in a separate container) each time they use it.

Have fun making them! Everyone is going to love them..

My adpoted persian really needs a bath but i don't know which products to use.?

Which products are best for shampooing my adopted 11 year persian? Do I have to invest in a soundless hair dryer as he is a bit nervous of noise? If I buy pet clippers could I shave his legs myself? This is the only area he has knots. I live on an island and cannot get him into a groomers, they are booked till April. Please help!My adpoted persian really needs a bath but i don't know which products to use.?
With all the fancy shampoos out there, I have always used a mixture of dawn dish washing liquid and water. 50/50. No conditioners on the Persian. It weights down the coat. As far as a hair dyer goes, if he's 11 years old, chances are he's used to it. You might try placing him in a pet taxi and with speed on low, start drying him through the door. If he excepts that OK, then you can try laying him on a towel and finish the blow drying.

As far as the knots on his legs, try a flee comb. You might be able to get them out without hurting him. The matts usually come out of the legs without difficulty. White Persians are more difficult with the matting. Their coat is different. My experience with the Persians (breed to show for 5 years) you need to have all the knots out before bathing. Once the knots get wet, they mat closer to the skin.

Gratz on your new pet. The persians are a wonderful breed. What color is he (or she)My adpoted persian really needs a bath but i don't know which products to use.?
There are many formulas for shampoo which do not need water. All you do is lather your dry cat in it, excluding the eyes and ears, and then comb it out until the fur is dry. It's hassle free, doesn't take much time, and you are brushing at the same time.

Also remember persians need brushing once a day to stop the fur becoming knotted.

You may want to use the word Shampoo bath in you name as a Search engine like Google, has more potential sales for you using this word connected to your business name. The competition for this search word is low compared to Bath Products which has right now more than 33 million offers while there is only 135.000 searches in a month (potential customers) for this word as products.

If you are looking for a Domain Name for your products you way want to try to find one at www.GoDaddy.com and see which ones are available.

The word ';Bath World'; may be taken as a Domain Name.

A catchy Name in addition to Shampoo Bath could be:

    Wondrous Shampoo Bath.

    Spring Clean Shampoo Bath.

    Summer Breeze Shampoo Bath

    You would of course promote other bath products on your website;

after you have landed customers with the Shampoo Bath or other

When there, scroll down to the bottom of the list for people search results for related or ';additional Key words'; If the Green Bar next to your potential Key Word that people has searched for, is half or less filled the competition is a lot more favorable for you than running into a filled green bar. google itWhich is the best sauna bath or steam bath product?
It depends on what you're looking for. A Finnish sauna is going to be fairly expensive, especially if you're not building it from scratch. The cheapest kit you find will still be around $4000. You can find portable steam rooms that work fairly well for under $500. Both are easy to find on google.

A true Finnish sauna is going to have a more profound effect in terms of health, wellness and detoxification.

Hmm id love to know..after all its the thought that countsWhy do people get so upset when you buy them bath products as a gift?
Because it insinuates that you think they stink and need to take a bath.
They take it the wrong way. They may think that your tring to tell them they smell or it is something they don't use!
because you bought them from the dollar store
maybe they think that you are thinking tht they stink. lol

They could prefer to pick out their own bath products. Just because you like a smell from say ';Bath and Body Works'; doesn't mean they will. Unless they are fanatics about the stuff and you know what they like, you should stay away from buying bath products as gifts.
They probably think you are trying to say somethnig like they smeel when you give them bath stuff

    I prefer brand name products.

I have really dry skin and I've tried almost EVERYTHING as far as lotion and bath products. What should I do??

What would you suggest? I've tried almost every brand of lotion thats in department stores, but it doesn't seem to work. I want to try tanning also, would that just make my problem worse?I have really dry skin and I've tried almost EVERYTHING as far as lotion and bath products. What should I do??
I would go to a dermatologist and see if he can proscribe you something that will best suit you and your problem. It may not be as simple as dry skin....I have really dry skin and I've tried almost EVERYTHING as far as lotion and bath products. What should I do??
I use gel form baby oil which you can find in the baby aisle. Also if that doesn't work, Origins makes a great oatmeal soap for dry skin and I have used it on my daughter with her dry skin.
For your face-Eucerin. It is simple unbeatable.

For body-Creme De Corps from Kiehls (you can get it www.kiehls.com)

or my absolute fave- Gardener's Hand Creme from Crabtree and Evelyn. My great aunt recommended it to me.

I have eczema and scars on my elbows from being dragged as a child. This is the only stuff that softens my problematic dry skin from these issues. I haven't had any problems, since I started using it. I put it on my legs and elbows, as well as my hands. And I get raves about the smell.
:Look for products that have aloe to soothe skin to help soften and glycerin to smooth and soften and help heal also. At most drugstores you can buy glycerin in a bottle all by itself. A bottle of glycerin can be poured into your hand and its texture is like honey or molasses but a little less thick. It is light in colour and doesn't cost more than $10.00. Pour some of this in your bath water or pour some baby oil in. Mix cream with baby oil or mix cream with glycerin in your hand and smooth it all over. Apply cream directly after a shower or bath on damp skin, do not dry skin bone dry. Great moisture comes with mixing cream or lotion to damp or slightly wet skin. In my Caribbean family it is a staple to have all of these products everyday. Coca butter and shea butter are delicious for skin too. Try to avoid things that may make you itchy or irritated even your clothes- they could be causing dryness also. Talk to others that have great skin. Don't forget your dermatologist. Tanning should be put on the back burner. Get your skin feeling and looking great and healthy first. Remember, there is no safe tan. Enjoy your healthy skin and protect it. You can have the best of both worlds- Beautiful and Healthy together!
Before spending lots of money, try this; baby oil after shower while wet, wait 5 minutes pat dry. Use petroleum jelly to moisturize before bed. I too have dry skin.
Have you tried Eucerin cream or Neutrogena? I have found that they are good. Typically anything w/ Shea Butter will take care of dry skin.
Apply honey and eat vitamin-E capsules.
    Try pro-active if haven't already.
Dry skin with a damp cloth and then apply moisterizing lotion to skin. Actually baby oil or vaseline will do the trick.
i had very dry skin also back in the winter. i tried lotions from all brands. avon has the best along with there skin so soft that you use after your shower or bath.really helps moisturizes your skin.
skin is sometimes a difficult thing... try a moisturing lotion but as well as you add things from outside you should try also from the inside. a good thing to do is drink a lot of water, and juices, vegetables and all that kind of stuff, they should make your skin look and feel better and there are other benefits of course.

if things still go wrong try visiting a dermatologist.
Talk to a skin care specialist
after u take a shower or a bath, you need to put lotion on prefrebly, cocoa butter, to keep in the moisture. therefore your skin won't be dry,
tree huts orininal shea butter it really works put it on after or before you take a shower
hell yea tanning would make it worse. have u tried aveeno?
Avoid anything that has sodium laureth sulfate for starters. That will mess your skin up.
I'm the same way and I use a product made by avon called skin so soft, this line has a creamy body wash, shower gel, foam bubble bath and a body oil. I love bubble baths, so most of the time i use a capful of oil in my bath and my skin is so silky and soft after showers and baths. Maybe you should give it a try, my son has eczema and it really helps with his extra dry skin.
Stay away from soap. It will dry your skin. Try dove and go see your dermotologist, they may have something.

    dp
    try other ones
Dry skin also suggests that you are not getting enough water in your system. It really does start in the inside. Also do not put anything on your skin that has any alcohol based prosucts in it as this will not only dry your skin, it will also burn your skin. Try natural aloe vera for a while, and also sorbelene cream to wash with instead of soap. Don't use cleansers that will rip everything out of your skin, as it will take away the good oils as well, and then use a light replenishing moisturiser like Oil of OLay with a spf in it. And yes, tanning will make it extremely worse at the moment. One step at a time ok.
To combat dry, itchy skin, try these dry skin help tips:

Avoid using harsh soaps, which are very drying to skin. Use mild, defeated or glycerin soaps, such as Bella Glycerine Bars.

Stay away from antibacterial and deodorant soaps.

Not only are they very drying to the skin and can clog pores, they leave a soap film and over-use of any antibacterial product will eventually not be effective.Bathing properly can also help. Follow these steps:

Soak rather than shower 鈥?Most people use hotter water for showers than for tub bathing. But hot water can dry skin. Experts used to think frequent bathing was drying to skin. Now they recommend daily soaking, immersed for 10 minutes in water no warmer than about 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pat dry 鈥?First brush away excess water with your hands. Then pat or blot your skin with a towel 鈥?never rub. Leave your skin moist.

Apply a moisturizer 鈥?(Seal moisture into your skin by applying bath oil/moisturizer to still-damp skin). Try to do this within 3 minutes before your skin dries completely.

There are two types of dry skin. Simple dry skin and complex dry skin.

Simple dry skin is a result from a lack of natural oils. This condition most often affects people under the age of thirty to forty. Complex dry skin lacks both oil and moisture. Fine lines, brown spots, enlarged pores and sagging skin are signs of complex dry skin.

The proteins that make up the skin are elastin, collagen and keratin. These protein's may be damaged by exposure to sun.

Dry skin tends to be dull-looking, scaly and flaky and develops wrinkles and fine lines easier. Chapping and cracking are signs of extremely dry, dehydrated skin.

A balance of oil and moisture are crucial for healthy, attractive skin. Oil is secreted by the sebaceous glands and lubricates the skin's surface. Moisture is the water present inside the skin cells, and comes to the cells through the bloodstream. It is the water in the skin cells that keeps them plumped up, healthy, and young looking.

Oil and moisture work together. There must be enough moisture in the skin cells, but there must also be enough oil to act as a shield, preventing excessive evaporation of moisture from the skin's top layers.

Nutritional deficiencies, especially Vitamin A and the B Vitamins, also cause dry skin.

Drinking plenty of water every day will help keep your skin hydrated.

Eating raw vegetables and fruits is recommended as well. Yellow and orange vegetables are high in beta-carotene which is a source of Vitamin A. Foods high in sulfur, help keep the skin smooth. Good sulpher sources are garlic, onions, eggs and asparagus.

At least twice a week, exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and boost circulation.

Moisturize as many times a day as you feel necessary. Use a liquid moisturizer or a facial oil that has nutrients and other natural ingredients. Stay away from solid or waxy type creams. Look for products that contain humectants such as glycerine and Vitamin E. Humectants attract moisture to the skin.

In the winter, using central heat is very drying to the air, thus drying the skin even more. Make sure you use a humidifier or place cups of water throughout your home to put moisture back in the air.

You may try using a facial mask once a week to clarify your skin and remove dull, dry skin. (do this after a good facial steam for best results) Honey is a good ';in your cabinet'; facial mask. You can mix the honey with a clay such as green clay powder. One teaspoon of each should be mixed and applied for about fifteen minutes. Rinse with warm water and apply moisturizer to still damp skin. Remember......Never use HOT water!!!
i have the same problem. i went thru walgreens and found this- its the same thing as eucerin, but store brand. walgreens therapeutic moisturizing cream for dry skin. it's 16 oz. and works WONDERFULLY. it's a little thick, but the dry skin problem is out the door. oh, the best part is, its only like 5 bucks, compared to eucerin's 12 bucks

and be careful w/the shea butter. sometimes it breaks out dry skin
    Yes, tanning dries your skin.

Skip lotions. Use oils instead. Apply while skin is still damp after bathing. I like to use a spray bottle while I am still in the tub. You can even buy scented body oils and smell yummy all day while doing something wonderful for your skin.
go to a c.v.s. or a pharmacy and try the line of Burt's Bees products, a little pricey but well worth it. I had the same problems and have tried everything including prescription cream and lotions but nothing worked as great as burts bees I hope this helps and I wish you luck!!!
do what littledoudhg suggets, and drink tons of water!!
Go to a doc ter he shall know OR use aleoveara
Where tanning is concerned. I used to run 2 shops. The best oil you can use for that is when you get up, the natural oil your body produces is the best oil you can have. After you tan, take a shower. I know the old tales of not taking taking a shower after you tan. Isn't true! Just use any lotion that is moisturizing. Coconut lotion is very good. Don't over do it tough. If you do then your skin will end up combination, no one wants combination skin.
I really like Jergens Original for my skin, but a MD could prescribe something for you. Tanning could make your problem worse.
put lotion on twice or more a day and trie the web site www.marthastewart.com she has some great tips and if ur out in the sun use mostorizing sunblock and rub aloe on even if u dont have a sun burn it moistorizes ur skin also sit in steam from hot water that will prevent pimples and zits
baby oil and vaseline before you go to sleep, then just shower when you get up so you don't look all shiny and put on some lotion. then do it again the next night.

    =)
Deep in your conciousness you must look, in the knowledge inside you must. Aaaaahaaaaaaaaa, when all else fails and you can't find anyting else, use a stick

    Tanning bath products?

do anyone know if there is such a thing as a bath product that can give you a lasting tan?ive got skin cancer, ive used different tanning creams but it gets all streaky and i cant get it on even over the bodyTanning bath products?
    Hi Linda.

Im sorry to hear of that. Ignore the first person that wont work you'll just smell like a cup of tea!

Ive researched and cant seem to find anything that will tan whilst in the bath. What creams have you tried, ive found if you go for a more expensive one you will generally get a better result. Have you tried a spray tan, i know Garner make one? Apaprt from that the only other option would be a tanning salon, have you tried there they could probably do the best streak free light tan.

Good Luck, i hope it all goes well for you xTanning bath products?
My lebanese friend puts tea in her bath........I don't know if it works, but you could research that.
