Giving away old bath and body products?

I have a bunch of lotions, body sprays soaps etc. that I don't use. I don't want to just throw them away so I was thinking about making up a basket of products to give to a group home or something. My questions is, would this be a good idea. Any other ideas of something I can do with them that will help someone else?Giving away old bath and body products?
